WattWatch

Privacy policy. Last updated 10 August 2026.

WattWatch collects nothing, sends nothing to any server, and has no account to attach anything to.

What is stored, and where

Battery samples, charge and discharge sessions, detected reboots and Wear OS update events are written to a local Room database on the watch. Each sample is a battery level, a charging flag and a timestamp. That is all a sample is.

Batches are synced to the phone over the Wear Data Layer, which carries data between your own paired watch and your own paired phone. It does not pass through any server operated by this app. The phone keeps the longer history so the watch does not have to.

The baseline, anomaly flags and update comparisons are computed on your devices from that local data. Nothing is uploaded to be analysed elsewhere.

What is not collected

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes its database. Clearing the app's storage from Android settings does the same without uninstalling. There is nothing held anywhere else, so there is nobody to send a deletion request to.

Backups

The database lives in the app's private storage and follows whatever Android backup behaviour you have configured for the device. It is never included in any backup controlled by this app's developer, because there is no such backup.
