Flip Touch collects nothing, stores nothing off-device, and cannot reach
the internet.
- The app requests no network permission. The operating system therefore
prevents it from transmitting anything, to anyone, ever. This is
verifiable in the APK's manifest.
- There are no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising
identifiers, no accounts.
- The accessibility service is used for exactly two things:
1. dispatching the gestures you make on the cover screen onto the main
screen, and
2. reading the package name of the foreground app so your per-app
rules can switch modes.
It is configured with
canRetrieveWindowContent="false": it cannot read
what is on your screen, and never sees keystrokes, text or content.
- Touch input on the cover surface is interpreted in memory and immediately
replayed as gestures. It is not logged or persisted.
- What is persisted, locally, via Android's DataStore: your settings,
button-pad layouts and per-app rules. These are included in standard
Android backups (they are plain preference data) and can be wiped by
clearing the app's storage.
- The diagnostics report is generated on demand and goes only to your
clipboard when you press "Copy report".
